On 28–29 May 2026, Clear Vision for Change (CIVISCE), in partnership with Women with Dignity (WWD) and the Women’s Global Network for Reproductive Rights (WGNRR) Tanzania, co-organized the National Forum on Reproductive Justice in Dar es Salaam with support from Global Fund for Women.

The forum brought together more than 55 representatives from civil society organizations, feminist movements, and reproductive justice advocates across Tanzania. Participants engaged in dialogue, shared experiences, and explored ways to strengthen collective action for reproductive rights, bodily autonomy, and reproductive justice.

A key outcome of the forum was the commitment to institutionalize the platform through a shared agenda, governance and leadership structures, and a collective action plan to guide future movement-building efforts.

CIVISCE’s Executive Director, Madam Sofia Efrem Mrosso, facilitated a session on the Reproductive Justice Movement Ecosystem. During the discussion, participants reflected on the movement’s achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Madam Sofia emphasized that despite existing challenges, organizations must strengthen collaboration and invest in practical strategies that will ensure the movement continues to grow and achieve lasting impact.

The forum reaffirmed that reproductive justice goes beyond access to health services. It includes bodily autonomy, informed decision-making, dignity, equality, and freedom from discrimination and violence.

As a co-organizing partner, CIVISCE was proud to contribute to these important discussions and to share experiences from its work with women, young women, and adolescent girls in refugee and host communities in Kigoma Region.

We extend our sincere appreciation to WGNRR Tanzania, Women with Dignity (WWD), Global Fund for Women, and all participants who contributed to the success of the forum.

The forum marked an important step toward building a stronger, more coordinated, and more inclusive reproductive justice movement in Tanzania.

Together, we are stronger.
