Every girl deserves the opportunity to attend school with confidence, dignity and hope. Yet for many girls, lack of access to menstrual health products and information can become a barrier to learning.
Through its Pad Power Project, CLEAR VISION FOR CHANGE (CIVISCE) is working to ensure that no girl misses school because of her period.
This August, CIVISCE will reach approximately 1,000 girls in Masanga, Gungu, Rubuga and Kisimbi Secondary Schools in Kigoma-Ujiji Municipality by providing reusable sanitary pads alongside menstrual health education.
The initiative goes beyond distributing sanitary pads. Girls will also learn about menstrual health, understanding their menstrual cycle and preparing confidently for their periods, helping them stay in school and focus on achieving their educational goals.
The Pad Power Project builds on CIVISCE’s continued commitment to girls’ education. In previous years, the organization supported girls at Kitongoni Secondary School (2024), Kitongoni Primary School (2024) and Mwananchi Secondary School (2025).
As a local organization working to advance reproductive health rights, gender equality and community-driven education support, CIVISCE believes that investing in girls today strengthens families and communities tomorrow.
