Climate Justice & Resilience

At Clear Vision for Change (CIVISCE), we champion climate justice and resilience by promoting equitable, community-driven solutions to the climate crisis. Women, young women, and marginalized communities face the greatest climate risks, yet they have limited access to resources and decision-making spaces. We work to empower communities, equip them with climate adaptation tools, and advocate for inclusive climate policies at local, national, and global levels.

Our Climate Justice Initiatives

1. Community Empowerment & Grassroots Participation: CIVISCE ensures local communities, particularly young women, are actively involved in climate action and decision-making. We train communities in climate change adaptation and sustainable practices, promote eco-friendly income-generating activities, and support women-led climate businesses such as briquette-making and renewable energy adoption. By working with village leaders and youth groups, we develop community-driven climate adaptation plans and establish local environmental committees to lead sustainable initiatives.

2. Capacity Building & Climate Education: We strengthen community resilience through training on climate-smart agriculture, water conservation, and renewable energy solutions. CIVISCE educates women, youth, and local organizations on climate governance, environmental justice, and policy engagement, while also addressing climate-linked health risks such as malnutrition and vector-borne diseases. Through knowledge-sharing platforms, we equip communities with the tools needed for sustainable environmental management.

3. Disaster Response & Humanitarian Aid: CIVISCE provides emergency relief to climate-affected communities by distributing food, clean water, and essential supplies to families displaced by floods, droughts, and other climate disasters. We support post-disaster recovery programs, helping communities rebuild livelihoods through agricultural inputs, financial assistance, and reforestation efforts. Our work also includes early warning system training and collaborations with government agencies and humanitarian partners to enhance climate disaster preparedness.

4. Climate Advocacy & Policy Influence: We drive climate advocacy by mobilizing grassroots communities through media campaigns, environmental activism, and climate justice forums. CIVISCE engages with local and national governments to push for climate policies that prioritize vulnerable communities while ensuring women and youth are represented in climate governance. We actively participate in international climate conferences, UN events, and global networks, bringing Tanzanian women’s voices to the global climate conversation.
